How & Where Do I Get New Customers?

You’ll read in any half decent book on marketing strategies that the lifeblood of every business is a constant supply of new customers.

If the supply stops, in time our business will stop. Customers swap suppliers, some die (how selfish), sell the business, close the business, etc, etc.

Many small business owners are quite innovative & invent some bizzare marketing strategies that are very successful.

Doing anything is better than doing nothing.

Like the lady who had a donut stand at a local produce markets. A sign hung from her stall and it read -

“It has now been confirmed by scientific testing that donuts a good, just as donut lovers have for eons”

You’d just have to stroll over check it out.

Sales can be increased in any business with simple marketing. Add some increased knowledge & some really effective marketing strategies and the sales graph takes on a very different aura.

Do any of these questions sound familiar?

It’s just a silly old formula. Apply the formula to the problem & you’re done.

And don’t be intimidated by marketing jargon, if I can do it… you most certainly can.
What I’ve realized over time is that many business owners do not know if their marketing strategies are breaking even…. not to mention creating a profit.

“Call me a stupid but that’s just mad?”
It would be like buying shares in a company & not bothering to see how they’re going.

A Trap For Business Owners…

Quite often business owners are ‘blinded by the flashing lights of advertising’ and fall into the trap of wasting money on marketing strategies that simply do not work for them.

It could be because -

• The methods are not suited to their specific industry sector
• They have chosen the wrong options
• The performance of the strategies that they’ve selected cannot be measured

Everyone in busines knows full well that if you don’t spend money on marketing, you don’t get any customers.

In the oxygen challenged environment of the advertising world, (aka advertising agencies) the success of any campaigns is rarely measured. Most campaigns are created to win advertising awards, not to attract new customers.

No doubt their customer would be interested in hearing that!!

And if their particular ad wins an award, it really gives the customers the warm & fuzzies.
Most would not know how that last marketing campaign went.

But hey, the ad won an award didn’t it?

And get this… advertising campaigns are judged by the industry itself, not the customers nor the results. Awards are handed out on a visual basis and the more awards the agency wins, the higher fees they can charge.

A well thought out modus operandi.

Anyway…

You can attract as many customers as you’ll ever need by utilising cost effective marketing strategies that you can introduce & manage yourself without any formal marketing training or background.
